Fred Wright Fettig

Fred Wright Fettig, age 74, of Hickory, passed away peacefully on April 15, 2024.

Born on June 16, 1949, in Connersville, Indiana he was the son of the late Nilah and Charles Fettig.

Husband of Chuck Orton; dear brother of Sara (the late Phil) Mills and the late Peter (surviving Vernell) Fettig; uncle of Laura (Phillip) Earlywine, Amelia McArdle and Nelwyn (Andrew) Hayes; great uncle of Elly (Shawn), Erin (Corey), Keegan, Peter, Kellyn, William, Lily, Cooper, and Caroline; great great uncle of CJ, Kaisen, and Lillian. Also survived by in laws.

Fred loved fine woodworking. For many years her worked as an Estimator for Industrial Gasket and Shim.  Fred spent 41 years with Chuck, legally getting married on July 3, 2014. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
