Michael P. Koratich

Michael P. Koratich, age 58, of Waynesburg, passed away peacefully in his home with his family by his side on April 13, 2024.  Born on February 20, 1966, he was the son of Dorothy B. Koratich-Lingis (Anthony “Tony” Lingis) and the late Stephen B. Koratich.  Beloved husband of over 30 years to Tammy Koratich;  loving father of Gavin (fiance Lauren Markish) Koratich; dear brother of George (Patty) Koratich, Richard “Rick” Koratich, and Stephanie Koratich; survived by in laws, nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.

 He will be remembered in the community for his successful proprietorship of Koratich’s Golden Rail, a place that remains in the positive memories of its many patrons thanks to his creativeness and passion for the business.  To family and friends, he will be lovingly remembered for his commitment to self-improvement, his talent with welding and craftmanship, and love for his family.  Despite facing severe health challenges in the last decade of his life, he faced the end with courage and dignity, quietly passing on in his wife’s arms and surrounded by loved ones.
