Frederick “Fritz” Sala

Frederick “Fritz” Sala, age 88 of Donora, PA passed away surrounded by family on Wednesday, June 19, 2019. Born on August 5, 1930, he was the son of the late Roma and Leo Sala. Husband to Almeda Nichols Sala. Loving father to Melinda and Frederick Sala, Jr. Dear grandfather to Kirk (Sarah) Lang, Christian Lang, Frederick C. Sala and Melissa A. Sala. Fritz was also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his siblings Alba, Tony, John and Leo Sala and Rose Sala Galiffa.

Fritz proudly served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He was a lifelong member of the Donora Elks and the American Legion. Fritz was also an avid golfer and was well read in world culture and history.

A private memorial service will take place at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Pittsburgh Cremation and Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Road, McMurray, PA 15317, (724) 260-5546.
