George Edward Ross, age 88, of Washington, formerly of Beaver Falls, passed away on July 19, 2023.
George graduated Beaver Falls High School, drafted in to the Army where he spent 8 years. He attended Penn State University, early in his career he worked as a Labor Leader and was a President of the Mine Workers Local Chapter.
In 1969, he went in to the insurance business, managing many insurance companies. Later in 1983, he founded The George E. Ross Insurance Agency, for which he owned for 30 years. In addition, he was the President of the Wall Rose Insurance Company for many years.
He was active in The Knights of Columbus, obtaining the 4th degree Knight. He was a 5 time commander for Post 175 in Washington, PA and served for many years as a district officer for the 25th district of the American Legion.
George had an avid love for animals, especially dogs including Dobermans and his pal Banjo.
He is survived by his wife, Jeanette Ross; Son, George And daughter in law Adrienne.
