James Alexander Carpenter

He is survived by grandson David (Rebekah) Porter and Brandy Lynn Carpenter (Kaelan Gossett, fiance) and her mother JoAnn Melone. Great-grandsons, Aedan and Kory Gossett. Nephew and niece, Dennis and Cindy Wise Malone who cared  for him in his home. And other nieces and nephews…Dan and Kim Carpenter, Debbie Carpenter-Hall, Lori Carpenter (John) Dzurino, Terri Carpenter Schultz and many great-nieces and great-nephews.

James was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Donna Ross Carpenter; daughter, Denise Carpenter Porter; son, Wade Alan Carpenter; 1st wife Linda Polen Carpenter, mother of Wade and Denise; brother Glenn Carpenter and sister Marjorie Carpenter Malone.

James was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing and sports. He was a proud Navy veteran serving during the Korean War era, serving 1951-1955. Throughout his career as a machinist, he worked at Jessop Steel, RCA, and Ross Mould. He worked for several years in car sales at the local Ford Dealership. He loved his family and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
