Jean B. Woerner, age 90, of Peters Township, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 3, 2018.

She was born April 22, 1928 and was the daughter of the late Margaret and Paul Braine.

Jean was the beloved wife of the late William G. Woerner. Loving mother of Keith (Tamara) Woerner of North Strabane and Drew (Denise) Woerner of Reseda, CA. Cherished grandmother of Jennifer Lettie, Jonathan Woerner, Brian Worener, Jeannette Woerner, Lindsey Woerner, Holly (Anthony Jr.) Palumbo, and Danielle Foutz (D.J.Higgins). Sister of Barbara (the late Thomas) Leinbach and Paula (Richard) Paicenti.

Also survived by many nieces, nephews, and 8 great-grandchildren.

Family and friends are welcome for services on June 12, 2018 at 11am at Center Presbyterian Church, 255 Center Church Road, McMurray, PA 15317, 724-941-9050. Arrangements have been entrusted to Cremation and Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Road, McMurray, PA, 15317, 724-260-5546.

Hello from Edmonton Canada....We are sending our most heartfelt sympathies to the family of Jean. We have fond memories of her from our trip in Morocco many years ago. We enjoyed many good laughs as we explored the streets of Fez and other Imperial Cities of Morocco on our tour with Jean and Bill as well as Carol and Tom. We walked through the markets together and spent our dinners talking about all the great things we saw along the way! We were especially pleased when Jean and Bill, along with Carol and Tom came to Canada on a trip and joined us here in Edmonton for a bit of touring around. We are happy that she lived a full life and had the opportunity to enjoy travelling the world. We are sure she will be missed! May God comfort you!

I’m so sad to hear is Mrs. Woerner’s passing. I know she is finally at peace and watching over all of you with Mr. Woerner, probably laughing at one of his jokes or stories. I met Jean in the mid 1980’s when we both worked for FFV Realty. She was a quiet leader in the office and was always available to help others. She masterminded a surprise party for me when I bought my first townhome! She was beautiful inside and out and I admired her so much. She was a classy lady with a wonderful husband and sons she often spoke of with pride and young grandkids that she adored. When I remember those days in real estate, she is the first person that comes to my mind. I’m glad she had a long good life and I know Bill is happy to have her home.

An early first meeting with Jean Woerner, her husband Bill, and her two sons... enjoying a picnic/party with other families on a warm (hot) day. On the southern shores of Lake Michigan, in the late 1950’s. . A wonderful family of capable and helpful people. No matter what skill was needed, one of them could help. At work, ar Church, or more relaxing times the Woerner’s were leaders in suggestions and Work that improved their communities. A great example for all of us. Sleep well friends !
