John Everett Gleysteen

John Everett Gleysteen age 65 of Pittsburgh passed away peacefully on December 13, 2017 at Family Hospice and Palliative Care in Mt. Lebanon.

Born in Pittsburgh on November 18, 1952 he was the son of the late Mary Ward and Graham N. Gleysteen.

Dear brother of Dirk Marshall Gleysteen and the late Emily Poland; and devoted uncle to Ann Gleysteen (Michael) Smith, Dirk (Diana) Gleysteen, Eric (Betsy) Gleysteen, Julie Mason (Stephen) Middleton and Lucy Hunter Poland.

He cared deeply in his life and at the time of his death for his great nieces and great nephews.

He was a passionate fan of the Steelers, locomotives and snow, and he never thought Pittsburgh got enough.  John was a faithful man and knew he always rested in the arms of our Lord.

A memorial service will be planned for early 2018.
