John F. Miksa, Jr.

John F. Miksa, Jr., age 82, passed away on February 5, 2024. Born on September 3, 1941, in Pittsburgh, PA, he is son of the late Anna V. Goyda and John F. Miksa, Sr. Brother of JoAnn (David) O’Leary and brother-in-law of Jean Miksa-Volk. He was preceded in death by his brother Robert J. Miksa.
John was a teaching brother in the Marianist Order. He later served in the United States Air Force as a Medic. He was a teacher in the Pittsburgh Public Schools, a Parole Officer in the City of Pittsburgh and retired from United Parcel Service. He loved to root for the Pittsburgh Steelers, and cheering on the Pittsburgh Penguins as well. He was a lover of all animals and a donating patron to them. He was a bird watcher as well as an avid reader. He also loved to watch nature, cooking and craft shows. Going to the flea market when he was able to was one of his all time favorites.
