John H. Miles passed on Tuesday, December 19, 2017, of Robinson Twp. Age 78. Beloved husband of the late Barbara E. “Bonnie” Miles; Father of John “Pete” (Beth), Kenneth (Barb) and David (Lisa) Miles; Grandfather of Jordan Miles, Brandy Sacks, David Miles, Jr. and Bradley Miles. Great-Grandfather of Tauren and Taelyn Sacks. Also survived by his brother Roy Miles. John was a Life-time member of the Forest Grove Sportmen’s Club, a Mason, a Shriner and a member of the Islam Grotto. Family and friends received Thursday, December 21, 2017 from 2:00-8:00pm at the Joseph M. Somma Funeral Home 5405 Steubenville Pike McKees Rocks, PA 15136. Your father’s life was a gift to us all. His love, his lovingkindness, his devotion to family and friends will live in my heart, our hearts forever. Love never dies, and our gracious and merciful God will reunite us all in his time. When your grandmother came to me bewildered and crying that my older sister had eloped with a boy from Sheraden I was eight years old. Then no one knew what an incredible man had joined our lives and our family, and he remained incredible throughout this life. A role model of decency, honor and stability. Let that Peace that surpasses all understanding comfort you while you remember, while you grieve; let this time of sorrow draw you closer together and let your father’s love never let you drift apart. The memories, the laughter and the tears, for everything he was and for everything he did for me he was and always will be an essential part of my heart.
