John Joeseph Bauer

John Joseph Bauer aka Sherm, long time resident of Rostraver Township died on October 8, 2022.

Born in Elizabeth on February 22, 1940, he was the son of the late of Joseph and Leonore Kidd Bauer. He was preceded in death by his parents and in laws John and Helen Fizer. Brother in law Rodney Fizer in 2021; and remarkable brother in law Barnes J. Allen on September 16, 2022 and niece Natalie Allen.

John was a business administrator for many years working for Pittsburgh National Bank as an Officer, also CSC Inc and Montgomery Ward.  He was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses all of his life, serving as an Elder for the Monessen Congregation. He loved telling people about the wonderful things God has in store in the near future for those who serve him.  He loved creation and it showed in his flower gardens and his love of all birds. His family was everything.  Leaving behind is his wife of 58 years Doris Fizer Bauer; his only daughter Dawn Racquel Bauer;  his only brother James Bauer and his wife Joyce of Murraysville; and nephews Brian and Bruce Bauer; sister in law and exceptional friend Adrienne Allen of Waynesburg and nephew Barnes John Allen who was named after his father of Butler; sister in law, Rebekah Fizer of Greensburg and special friends of 70 years Perry and Sandy Campayno. Honorary Daughter Nicole Truesdale of South Carolina.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Pittsburgh Cremation, 3287 Washington Rd., McMurray, PA 15317, 724-260-5546.  A memorial service will be held on Zoom at a later date.
