Lee Alan Dixon
April 19th 1959 – March 12th 2024

Early in the morning of Tuesday March 12th 2024, Lee Dixon, 64 years old, of Muse, PA succumbed to complications arising from a multiple year battle with cancer and severe illness.

He leaves behind his beloved and soulmate wife Tammy (Sickles) Dixon, married on August 17th 2001 (23 years), his son Michael (Heather) Dixon of Coraopolis, PA, several step-children, whom he raised as his very own: Kayla (Jake) Demyan, Cody (Aleigha) Sickles, and Kolby (Amanda) Sickles.

Lee’s father William C. Dixon Sr, and Mother Colleen E. Dixon preceded him in passing. Lee also leaves behind a brother, William (Shelia) Dixon Jr. and a sister Rebecca (Wayne) Harris, and many in-laws, nieces and nephews. Lee was a family man to his core.
Also, Lee had many grand-children, who were the light in his life: Mackynzi, Layla, Colton, Carson, Liam, Alexander, Ryleigh and Bailey. After his retirement, he spent all the time he could with his grandbabies, they brought him such joy, happiness and pure love.

Lee attended and graduated from Fort Cherry High School with the class of 1977 and he later attended the Electronics Institute in 1985 in Pittsburgh, PA where he earned an associates degree.
In 1979, Lee married his 1st wife, Maryanne Riemer, of Leetsdale, PA, and the two raised their son Michael at the Dixon family home in Southview, PA. They were married for 20 years until their divorce. In 1998, Lee moved to Prosperity, PA for several years, and then to Muse, PA where he and Tammy still reside.

Lee was employed as a Mailroom Supervisor by the Observer Publishing Company in Washington, PA for 24 years before newspaper printing ceased at the Washington press in 2013, and later by Magna Service Agency until 2020 from where he retired.
Lee was an extreme bibliophile. In his lifetime, we are not sure how many books he read, but it was very likely in the thousands if not more. His favorite genre was Science Fiction. There were few moments when you would find relaxing, that he wasn’t reading something. He loved to watch movies, play video-games, and to learn new things about computers and technology, as well as space and space travel, and would talk about it often. You could find him on his off time, having a cigarette and a drink and tinkering with some project on his computer, if he wasn’t reading the 13th book of some obscure series of books from a new writer he’d discovered.
Last but certainly not least, Lee loved to cook and bake. For a few years, he was the morning chef at the Track side kitchen for the Meadows race track. He absolutely loved every part of cooking, and would always have a very full kitchen table for Thanksgiving. He also has a collection of cookbooks that are nearly a century old that he used all the time, and would guard his secret recipes closely.

A special thank you to Aleigha Bonacci and Tammy Dixon for single-handedly managing Lee’s at home care in his last few months.

A celebration of Lee’s life will take place on Saturday April 20th at 1pm to 4pm at Trinity Church, 550 South Main St. Washington, PA 15301. Lunch will be served after a service dedicated to his memory.

In Lieu of flowers, donations can be forwarded to https://www.gofundme.com/f/lee-dixon that will directly support Lee’s family with the medical expenses for his protracted care.
