Macy Ann Zimmerman was born on March 18, 2000 and passed away unexpectedly in Pittsburgh, PA on May 4, 2022. In the Chinese zodiac, she was a Golden Dragon, her personality reflecting the straightforward and natural tendencies of that sign. Macy had a great interest in learning more about her Chinese roots and had hoped to return to China one day.
Macy graduated from Elizabethtown Area High School in 2018, participating in marching band, concert band and Key Club, and had attended Duquesne University and the University of Pittsburgh. She was most recently employed by Securitas Security Services. She loved reading, travel and dogs of all kind. Her wicked sense of humor reflected her unique view of the world.
Macy will be missed beyond measure by her parents, Melanie and Gary Zimmerman, her sister Maya, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, other family members, friends and her beloved dog, Teddy. She was preceded in death by her two grandfathers and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
The family requests no flowers or gifts. If interested in recognizing Macy’s memory, please consider making a donation in Macy’s name to a local animal shelter. A celebration of life will be held at the family’s convenience.
