Marijane Imburgia

Marijane Imburgia of Washington has finished this leg of her journey of life on December 24, 2023. She was born in Canonsburg on July 23, 1949 to Ruth Wilson and Thomas Imburgia. 

After graduating from Canon McMillan in 1967, she attended Slippery Rock State Teachers College, where she earned a BS degree in Education. 

After substituting at Avella and Fort Cherry High Schools, she rounded out her employment at Judson Wiley & Sons; where she dedicated 21 years of her life. 

Known to her friends as ‘Mj’ she was always first to help a friend or person in need. Mj enjoyed traveling w/ her sister and listening to jazz.  She loved spending time w/ her family and friends including her miniature schnauzers. Mj was also one of the most talented crochetiers ever.

Surviving are her children, John Thomas (Amy) Lukanski, Lisa (JJ) Dorazio and Michael Lukanski; her sister, Patty Ruth Moore, her grandchildren Ben Lukanski and Anna as well as  several beloved nieces and nephews.  Proceeded in death by her parents and her sister, Dona Faye Mounts.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday January 6, 2023 from 10:00 am until time of memory sharing service at 2:00 pm at Pittsburgh Cremation & Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Road, McMurray, PA 15317.
