Marilyn “Dolly” Brightbill (Longenecker), age 88, of Bridgeville formerly of Camp Hill, PA passed away peacefully on October 1, 2023.
Born in Lebanon, PA, she was the daughter of the late Helen and Earl Longenecker.

She was married to the late Carlin Brightbill for 64 years; loving mother of Melodie (Phil) Burrus, Lucinda (Don) Kalkbrenner, and T.C. (Carole) Brightbill.  Known as “Maudie” to her grandchildren Tara, Tiffany, Ali, Jake, Matthew, Katie, as well several great grandchildren.

Dolly graduated from Elizabethtown College in 1956 and during her Senior year she was crowned as the May Queen. Upon graduation, she was a teacher in the West Shore School District and Shiremanstown Baptist Church. Her Pennsylvania Dutch background  taught her to be an outstanding baker, making everything from scratch.  Her real love was music; she taught private piano lessons at home, and was the Choir Director at West Shore Baptist Church for many years. Dolly was an accomplished vocalist and pianist, performing in many venues. And  she is singing again in Heaven!

All services will be private at The National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Samaritan’s Purse, http://www.samaritanspurse.org

It's been many years since I've seen you, Aunt Dolly, but I will always remember the Christmas, full-family events at Helen and Earl's farm. We all gathered around that long, long table that took up the entire length of the dining room. I will never forget the laughter that accompanied those family times. May you rest in peace, Aunt Dolly.

I will always remember Aunt Dolly's beautiful smile! She always took time to speak with me at our large and busy family gatherings on the farm! Rest in peace Aunt Dolly.
