Robert A. DePierre

 Robert A. DePierre Age 95 of Washington, PA (formerly Hidden Valley, Peters Twp., Bethel Park, ,Mt Lebanon and Dormont PA

Born 12/1/27 Bob married  Doris Jane Kirkland in June 1949 and they enjoyed a long life together for  73 years before her passing in 2022.  They had three children:  Cynthia Desch (Jan Beveridge), John DePierre (Janey) and Jeannie McGuire.

Bob & Doris were blessed with six grandchildren:  Kyle DePierre (Cascade) Shane McGuire (Melody) Renae DeVita (Jake) Tara McGuire, Jake DePierre (Ashley) and John Kavanaugh (Sherri).  Bob & Doris were additionally blessed with seven Great Grandchildren:  Maya DeVita, Eli DeVita, Aidan Mitchell, Aurelia McGuire, Luca McGuire, Karston DePierre and Holiday DePierre.

They enjoyed their nieces and nephews:  Bob Kost, Nancy Brankis, Richard Kost, Kristen Diehl, Susan DiBattista, Amy Watson and Gretchen Higbee having many decades of visits and family vacations with them.

Bob was a social guy who loved golfing, boating on Cheat Lake & Deep Creek, snow mobiles,  cross country skiing, hiking and socializing with family & friends at cocktail parties and bridge clubs.  The family enjoyed watching the old Westerns & War movies that he loved!  An avid reader, he loved the special operations thrillers, and anything connected to WW-2.

Bob served in the US Army Air Corps 1946-48 in Japan. He earned is Engineering degree from University of Pittsburgh in 1950.Bob worked his entire career as a structural engineer: American Bridge,  Blawnox, Knabe Engineering and finally as a private Consulting Structural Engineer.  He took great pride in his work and was well respected in the Architectural & Engineering community in Pittsburgh.
