Marilyn Irene Rising (Manning) of Nottingham Township, sadly left us on Monday, November 13, 2023. Marilyn is survived by her loving husband Dave; son, Paul Rising (Sophie), grandchildren, Dani (Grant) Kinslow and Seb; great-grandchildren Ledger and Baker; siblings Debbie (Cornel) Conley; James (MJ) Manning. Marilyn was predeceased by her sister, Patty Mckonn.
Marilyn was a 1960 graduate of Brentwood High School, where she first met Dave.
A devoted wife and mother, Marilyn always created a home and built lifelong friendships as she supported Dave’s career while moving to Ponca City, OK; Denver, CO;, and Houston, TX. Marilyn and Dave returned to their Pittsburgh roots in 1994.
A long time employee of Prime Time at Christ United Methodist Church (Bethel Park), Marilyn embraced assisting the activities director with the senior daycare program. Marilyn and Dave enjoyed attending Classic Car Shows, hosting Steeler parties with friends, and spending time with family.
Marilyn always spoke fondly of time spent with her treasured granddaughter Dani!
Arrangements are entrusted to Pittsburgh Cremation and Funeral Care.
