Marion Spinelli, 91 of Carnegie, PA, formerly of East Stroudsburg PA, passed away on Thursday, September 21, 2023. She was born on December 12, 1931, in Jersey City, NJ and is the daughter of the late Joseph and Nancy Spinelli.

Beloved mother of Joseph and (Luisa) Moore of CA, Marianne and (Jerry) Lagemann of NC, Brian Moore of PA, and Teresa Moore and (Raymond Tasillo) of PA, the late Leo (surviving spouse Patricia) Moore, Nancylee Moore, and Martin (surviving spouse Patricia) Moore. Loving sibling of Lena Duggan of FL and the late Anthony Spinelli of NJ. Sister-in-law of Connie Spinelli of NJ; God mother of Judy McNure of VA. She was the devoted grandmother of Robert (Denise) Trosky, Jason (Paula Soffa) Trosky, Scott (Amber/AJ) Trosky, Teresa (Shane) Cross, Michelle Moore, Brian (Paola) Moore, Maureen (Trever) Moore Roth, Travis (Stephanie) Moore, Justin (Junni) Moore, Nancylee (Devon Hinson) Jaworski, Heidi Lagemann, Jarod Lagemann, the late Christopher Trosky and the late Roan Moore. Great-grandmother of Jonathan, Carmine, Ryan, Sidney, Eli, Lucy, Gianna, Allison Trosky, James Cross, Levi, Aria, Jonah Moore, and Gabrielle Skinner; also, survived by many nieces and nephews.

As a child Marion had dreams of becoming a nun. Her life took a different path, and she married the late Leo Moore, Sr. and had seven children. She loved to read and studied to become a Carmelite. Marion spent her life doing for others, spreading the word of Jesus Christ and practicing being the best Catholic she could be. Marion worked for the St. Joseph House Catholic Worker in New York. There she would counsel, feed, clothe and shelter the homeless. Marion loved being a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.  She aimed to make every child feel special. She was truly a unique and compassionate person. She will be dearly missed by all.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, September 29, 2023, at 10:00 am at St. Margaret of Scotland Church of St. Raphael the Archangel Parish, 310 Mansfield Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15220. Burial will take place at Lauralwood Cemetery, Stroudsburg PA.

Arrangements were entrusted to Pittsburgh Cremation & Funeral Care, Robinson Township, PA.
