Barbara J. (McFadden) Miller, age 74, of Benton, Arkansas, passed away peacefully surrounded by family in Pittsburgh on September 16, 2023.
Born on March 22, 1949, in Erie, PA, she was the daughter of the late Donald and Eleanor McFadden.
She was the beloved mother of Dan (Stephanie) Pierce, Damon Pierce, Celena (Josh) Willy and Bridgette (Brian Knapp) Pierce. Loving grandmother of 7 grandchildren and 2 grand dogs; dear sister of John (the late Marge) McFadden; also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
Barbara loved the outdoors and visiting Presque Isle State Park in Erie. She was passionate about water issues and protecting the environment, which led her to her career with the State Park System of Arkansas and the Fish and Game Commission. Following she was an Ecologist at ADEQ for 14 years in which she retired from. Barbara adored her dogs, Chester and Bailey. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
All services are private. Arrangements entrusted to Pittsburgh Cremation, McMurray, PA.
