Mary “Jean” Roney Ross

Mary “Jean” Roney Ross, age 93, of Canonsburg, passed away with family by her side on September 21, 2023.

Born on November 23, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Linda Roney.

Beloved wife of the late John W. Ross; loving mother of Bonnie (the late Kenneth) Zupkow, John W. (Janet) Ross Jr., Gary (Debbie) Ross and Karen (Daniel) D’Alessandro; cherished grandmother of Shannon Jacobs, Sonya Kirk, Sherry Evans, Bryan Ross, Melissa Ross, Tami Hannon, Elizabeth Ross, Rachel Ross, and the late Shawn Huggins; great grandmother of 3 and great great grandmother of 5; dear sister of the late Glenn Roney.

Jean worked with Meals on Wheels and the Election Board for North Strabane Township for over 20 years.  She was a dedicated member for over 70 years of Chartiers Hill Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed crocheting. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Family and friends are welcome on Monday, September 25, 2023 from 4-7 pm at Pittsburgh Cremation & Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Rd., McMurray, PA 15317, 724-260-5546. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 26, 2023 at 11 am at Chartiers Hill Presbyterian Church.
