Maryalice Turocy Bendick, age 60, of White Oak, passed away unexpectedly on March 11, 2024.
Beloved wife of 34 years to Daniel Bendick, Jr.
Born on November 8, 1963, in McKeesport, PA. She is daughter of the late Shirley and Albert Turocy.
Loving mother of twins, Shelby Nicole (Scotty) Thompson, and Timothy Daniel (Amanda) Bendick. Grandmother of Ronan and Jax Thompson, and Timothy John “T.J.” Bendick.
She is survived by her brother in Florida, David Turocy, her best friend of 50 years, Cherie Williams, her dog, Falco as well as many nieces and nephews.
Maryalice was truly one-of-a-kind, with a heart of gold. Her and Cherie grew up together, playing in the McKeesport band, working their first job, and dancing the nights away. Dancing was how she met her first love, with whom she spent the rest of her life with, Danny. Maryalice and Danny knew they were meant for each other right away, getting engaged within a few months of meeting. Danny proposed in the hospital, while Maryalice was there for emergency gallbladder surgery. From that moment on, the two created a beautiful life for themselves. They gave birth to a set of twins, Shelby and Timothy, who she was incredibly proud of and now both have kids of their own. She loved nothing more than babysitting both, her grandkids and grand-puppies. Everything she did was for her family. The card game, Blitz, was a staple in their household, nearly as much as her nightly drives with Danny and Falco.
Above all she was a friend to everyone she crossed paths with. Those who knew Maryalice, knew what a light she was.
She will be missed dearly by those who knew and loved her.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

I don't know Mary Alice or her family but somehow feel I do. I was working as a nurse on the day of the accident. My heart was and continues to be with Mary Alice and her family. Ongoing prayers for everyone.
