Maureen M. Thompson, age 72, of Canonsburg, formerly of Bethel Park passed away peacefully with family by her side on February 12, 2022.

Born on September 17, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Mary and Arthur McLaughlin.

Beloved wife of Bill Thompson of 52 years; loving mother of Eric (Nicole) Thompson and Bryan (Violet) Thompson; cherished grandmother of Benton and Maeve Thompson and Arthur and Fiona Thompson; dear sister of  Dennis (Susan) McLaughlin, Kate (BJ) Amicone, Tom (Kellie) McLaughlin and the late James (surviving, Nan) McLaughlin; sister in law of Sharon (Tom) Bioni; also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Maureen enjoyed reading, crafting and crocheting. She loved flowers and spending time in her garden. Most of all she enjoyed being with her grandchildren.  She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Family and friends are welcome Wednesday, February 16, 2022 from 3-8 pm at Pittsburgh Cremation & Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Rd., McMurray, PA 15317, 724-260-5546. A service will be held on Thursday, February 17, 2022 at 2:30 pm at The National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, 1158 Morgan Rd., Bridgeville, PA 15017. EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT THE CEMETERY.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Maureen’s name to lung.org.
