Maxine Marie Beaver

Maxine Marie Beaver, age 91, died July 23rd at home in Pittsburgh. Maxine was born in Huntingdon County, the daughter of Sherman and Margaret Cutshall. On February 14, 1950, she married J. Robert Beaver at St. James Lutheran Church in Huntingdon. She is survived by Robert at home. Maxine is also survived by a daughter Vicki Binney (Jeffrey) of North Carolina, granddaughter Kristin Binney McCambridge (Matthew) and great-granddaughter Ella all of Massachusetts; a son Michael (Roxanne) of Maryland, granddaughter Alicia (Patrick) Lombardo of Virginia, and granddaughter Allison (Cody) and great-granddaughter Ava of Maryland; and a daughter Patricia Henderson (Charles), granddaughter Karissa Fonzi, granddaughter Laura Fastuca (Matthew), and great-granddaughter Carmela and great-grandson Jovanni all of Pittsburgh.

Maxine was preceded in death by her sister Freda and brothers Walter, Janveer, and Eugene.
Until March of 2021, Maxine had been a lifelong resident of Huntingdon County. She graduated from Huntingdon Area High School in 1947 and pursued a career as a hairdresser. Maxine was an active member of St. James, having participated in women’s groups, choir and bell choir. She enjoyed volunteering as a bell ringer for Salvation Army and delivered Meals on Wheels with her husband.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to St. James Lutheran Church, 525 Mifflin Street, Huntingdon, PA 16652.
