Nancy Baumgardner

Nancy Putorti Baumgardner, of Canonsburg, passed away peacefully on January 11, 2021.

Born Nancy L. Swart on February 14, 1942, in Goshen, IN to the late Dale W. And Dorothy Swart.

In 1991 she married her beloved husband David M. Baumgardner of Rostraver, PA.

She was the mother of  William (Janet) Putorti and Jeffrey (Deborah) Putorti; grandmother of Miranda and Angela Putorti; step mother of Terri (James Hinda) Baumgardner, David (Sheri) Baumgardner, and Erin (Chet) Backowski; step grandmother of Randi and Jamie Baumgardner.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by sister, Patricia Gorham.

She was a 1960 graduate of Goshen High School and attended Indiana University in Bloomington, IN.  She was a member of Psi lota Psi sorority, Philomathians in Goshon and First United Methodist Church.  She had a special love for animals, especially cats dogs and horses that shared her life over the years.  She was involved in charity work for many domestic animal and wild life organizations during her lifetime.
