Norma Yeager Sommerfield

Norma Yeager Sommerfield age, 87 of Scott Township, Pittsburgh, PA passed away unexpectedly and peacefully on Tuesday, November 7, 2017. Born on April 22, 1930 in Pittsburgh, PA. Norma is survived by her beloved husband William J. Sommerfield of 64 years.  Loving mother of six children, Diane Lewis, Kathleen Scandy, Sandra Sommerfield, Mark Sommerfield, Scott Sommerfield and John Sommerfield. Grandmother of five grandchildren, great grandmother of two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Herbert and Freida Yeager, a son John and a sister.

Norma had a wonderful personality and disposition. She was a homemaker and a stay at home mom. She delivered Meals on Wheels for 25 years, enjoyed bowling, playing bridge and traveling to foreign countries with her husband. She was very proud of all six her children getting their college degrees. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at 11 AM at Mt. Lebanon United Lutheran Church, 975 Washington Road, Mt. Lebanon, PA 15228. Internment will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be to Mt. Lebanon United Lutheran Church.
