Paul  Nathaniel “Nate” Morris, age 68 of Canonsburg, passed away on March 8, 2018 at Washington Hospital with his wife by his side.

Born on October 31, 1949 in Centre County, he was the beloved son of the late Mary Lewis and Roosevelt Morris. Adored husband to Helen Navrotski. Doting father to Paul Morris Jr. Cherished brother to Mary Lousie Crump (Lou) of Greensburg, Deborah Winslow of Canonsburg, Sherri (Dennis) Matthews of Canonsburg, Judith Alicia Morris of Canonsburg, Patty Bray (Sherman) of Pittsburgh, and Barb Deshazo. Loving brother to Ronald “Bro” (Margaret) Morris of Carnegie, George Deshazo of San Diego, CA, Tim Morris of Washington. Dear son-in-law to Richard and Lucile Slater of Canonsburg. Loving brother-in-law to Ricki Sifinski of FL, Connie and David Gall of Canonsburg, and Ted and Lucinda Sworcheck of Canonsburg. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

He was preceeded in death by his siblings Catherine Bulter, Jessie Deshazo, David Morris, Richard Morris, and James “Butch” Deshazo.

Nate was known as an all-star athlete in high school. He played football, participated in wrestling, and ran on the track team. He retired from his career as a long waller at Consol Coal after 23 years of dedicated service. He never turned down a football wager during games with friends. He enjoyed spending his free time shooting craps and watching horse races at the Meadows Casino. He enjoyed exercising and listening to music. He was a fan of sweets and loved ice cream. Most of all, he enjoyed his quiet time at home sitting on the deck with his wife and best friend of 23 years.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Cremation & Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Rd., McMurray, PA 15317, 724-260-5546. A celebration of Nate’s life will be held on Sunday, March 25, 2018 at 3pm at the Meadows Track Chapel, 210 Racetrack Road, Washington, PA 15301.

Our hearts go out to you Helen It wasn’t that Long ago we were all at your house on the deck grilling food and laughing . You could feel the love that you and Nate had . He loved you so much as well as you did him too.We wish you all the blessings and our condolences.
