Ray Zimmer, age 87, of Bethel Park, passed away on November 10, 2021.
He was the son of the late Ray and Lena (Balsiger) Zimmer.
Beloved husband of Marilyn Zimmer for 66 years; loving father of Terri (Bob) Holman, Kip Zimmer, Betsy (Mike) Ashton; grandfather of Traci (Scott) Geller, Jamie Holman, Joshua Zimmer, Kaitlyn Arnold, Bryan (Hema) Ashton, Ben Ashton and 2 great grandchildren; brother of David Zimmer and Joan Stewart; also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister Midge Sheldon.
Ray was a graduate of Academy High School in 1953. After school he worked with his father at the family owned Sunrise Dairy in Erie, PA then employed for 20 years with American Sterilizer, then founded Zimmer Contracting Services with his son.
He loved spending time with his family and making memories in Tidioute, PA. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Family and friends are welcome, Thursday, November 18, 2021 from 11 am – 1 pm at Pittsburgh Cremation & Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Rd., McMurray, PA 15317, 724-260-5546. A service with full military honors will be held immediately to follow at The National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
