Robert W. Michalowsky

Robert W. Michalowsky, age 68 of North Strabane Township, PA died of a rare aggressive sarcoma cancer on July 20, 2020. Born on September 5, 1951, he was the son of Marjorie (Wilt) Michalowsky. Beloved husband of Donna (Donahue) Michalowsky for 38 years. Dear brother-in-law of Arlene (Steve) Bonetti, Linda (Fuzzy) Alston, and Kathleen (John) Comer. Bob was also survived by 2 nephews and 4 nieces. He was preceded in death by his niece, Ashley Comer.

Most of Bob’s career was in security. He worked for Allegheny County White Collar Crime Division and continued his career as a SIU agent investigating fraud with various insurance companies. He ended his career with First Energy. Bob enjoyed watching and attending every sport and was an active member at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in McMurray, PA. He loved the outdoors; especially walking in the woods at Siegel, PA and working in his yard. Bob also enjoyed traveling, golfing, bowling, and playing softball with South Hills Senior Softball League. Bob was loved by many friends and colleagues and will be dearly missed by all, but especially by his best friend Forrest, his 8 year old dog. Forrest and Bob were inseparable.

Due to COVID-19, there will be a memorial service held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Pittsburgh Cremation and Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Road, McMurray, PA 15317, (724) 260-5546.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Washington Area Humane Society, 1527 PA-136, Eighty Four, PA 15330.
