Ronald J. Appel

Ronald J. Appel, 86 of Robinson Township, passed away peacefully at home. Beloved husband of 62 years to Virginia, loving father of Sandra (William) Henderson and loving grandfather of Griffin, Colin and Myles Henderson.  He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Elrose (Bucher) Appel, his brother Robert Appel and sister Laverne Appel Gratz.

Ron was a dedicated postal worker from his time in the Marines Corps (1957-62) until his retirement with commendations from the US Postal Service in 1997.  He loved his family, photography and taking road trip, particularly to lakes and the seashore.  With his love of life, Ron embraced animals of all kinds, from family pets to those in the wild.

After retirement, Ron found a new prolific passion in scroll saw woodworking.  He never did anything half way.  His love, humor and enthusiasm will be profoundly missed and ever remembered.
