Roy C. Engel III

Roy C. Engel III, age 72, of Clinton PA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 13, 2023, after a 6-year battle against pancreatic cancer. 

Roy was born on May 24, 1951, in Pittsburgh. He proudly served in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War and was an avid Harley Davidson and Ford enthusiast. He will be missed dearly by the many who relied on him to keep their bikes and cars in tip top shape! He’d definitely “Rather be driving a GT 40!”. Roy’s greatest achievement in life, as stated by him, was being a husband and father to which his children adamantly agree and are forever thankful for his love and guidance. 

He was the beloved husband of the late Linda S. (Eaton) Engel; loving father of Donald (Vanessa) Vitez and Danielle (Stephen) Jurnak; grandfather of

Darren (Rae) Trecki, Jozi Thompson, Rutger Vitez, and Sophia Vitez; great-grandfather to Jolene Goerl, Genavieve Goerl, and Stella Trecki. 

Roy was preceded in death by his father Roy C. Engel Jr. and is survived by his mother Charlotte (Goetz) Fairweather. Brother of Patty (Dan) Duffy, and Charlene (Ed) Carr, and numerous family members and loving friends.

Friends will be received Friday, June 16, 2023, from 4-8 pm at Pittsburgh Cremation & Funeral Care, 5405 Steubenville Pike, Robinson Township, PA 15136 (412) 787-1800, where a Blessing Service will be held on Saturday at 11 am. Friends are encouraged to ride their motorcycles in procession to Hopewell Hebron Cemetery for burial with military honors following the service.
