Ruth Ann Evans Krawchyk, age 86, of New Brighton, PA, passed away peacefully Monday, September 4, 2023. Beloved wife of the late Andy Krawchyk, Jr.  Born on June 13, 1937, in New Brighton, she is the daughter of the late Floyd and Evelyn Evans. Loving mother of Andrea Schuster (Erin) and Richard Krawchyk; cherished grandmother of Andrew M. Krawchyk and Kimberly Terrell; great-grandmother of Noah Krawchyk and Raina and Lily Terrell; sister of the late James Evans, Marilyn D. Koch, and Freda D. Evans McCoy, and aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Ruth Ann was a remarkable woman who touched the lives of many with her kindness, dedication, and compassion. Throughout her career, she held a variety of administrative positions, excelling in her work as a legal secretary and earning the respect and admiration of colleagues and clients alike.

In her personal life, Ruth Ann engaged in a wide range of interests and hobbies. She had an innate talent for needlepoint that showcased her creativity and attention to detail. She enjoyed many hours spent thrifting in rummage sales, antique shops, and library book sales, often finding that perfect treasure for herself or gift for a loved one.  Ruth Ann had a deep appreciation for the classics, spending countless hours watching old movies and immersing herself in the world of literature. Her extensive book collection was a testament to her love for reading, and she cherished every volume she owned. She was also a formidable opponent in the game of Scrabble, often hosting (and usually winning) a friendly match with family and friends.

Above all, Ruth Ann’s greatest role and source of pride was being a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She poured her heart and soul into her family, which sustained her after the passing of her husband. Her devotion, wisdom, and the warmth of her embrace will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Her memory will continue to shine brightly in our lives.

Private arrangements entrusted to Pittsburgh Cremation and Funeral Care, Robinson Township. In accordance with the family’s wishes, there will be no viewing or service. Memorial donations in honor of Ruth Ann may be made to your preferred charity.
