Stephen Joseph Wasik

Stephen Joseph Wasik, age 86 of Cecil, PA passed away peacefully with his family by his side on April 16, 2017 at home.

He was the beloved husband of the late Alice Wasik.

Born on July 31, 1930 in Sturgeon, PA he was the son of the late Stanley and Jennie Wasik.

Loving Father of Stephen A. (Sandra) Wasik, James (Robin) Wasik and Daniel (Ronna) Wasik; cherished grandfather of Valerie Jurich, George Wasik, Anna Sullivan, Ronna Fruscello, Alisandra Wasik, James Wasik and Kayla Wasik; adored great grandfather of Kaelyn, Cade, Kara and Geno; dear brother of  Helen Buydash, Christine Sherge, and the late Chester Wasik, Virginia Krek, Stella Teyssier, Julie Ceyrolles and Rose Wasik; also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Stephen loved being outdoors, hunting, gardening, planting and caring for trees.  He also enjoyed golfing, painting and woodwork but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.  

Following retirement from US Steel Ambridge he began working for Cecil Parks and Recreation. 

Family and friends are welcome Tuesday, April 18, 2017 from 1 pm – 8 pm at Cremation & Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Rd., McMurray, PA 15317, 724-260-5546.  A Blessing Service will be held Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at 10 am at the Funeral Home.  Interment will be private.
