Sue Ann Brandell, age 73, of Mt Lebanon, PA passed away peacefully on September 3, 2023.

Born on June 13, 1950 in Cincinnati, OH, she is the daughter of Rosann Severding and the late Hunter Severding.

Sister of William (Laura) Severding of Texas and David (Mary) Severding of Ohio.

Also survived by two nieces and two nephews.Sue loved ballroom dancing, yoga, reading, and gardening.

As a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, Sue pursued a career in education, serving for 32 years as a Math teacher at Peters Township High School.  She took great pride in the development of a Personal Finance course that provided practical, ongoing benefits to her students.

Through various volunteer activities, Sue’s personal interests enabled her to benefit others. Her training as a certified yoga instructor led her to provide yoga instruction to cancer patients through the Gilda’s Club of Pittsburgh. Later, Sue’s dance skills were shared with young people through the Yes, You Can Dance! Special Needs Dance Program and Cotillion classes in Mt. Lebanon.

It was in retirement that Sue found some of her greatest joys. She became an excellent amateur ballroom dancer who participated in various competitions with great success and an unforgettable smile. She forged deep, sacred friendships as part of the Medicine Women.  And she shared her heart and magic with the Pinto Family by helping to raise their two little girls, whom she loved dearly, enriching their lives and her own with creativity, play, and outdoor adventures.  Sue’s life was impactful to those who were blessed by her presence. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Friends and family are welcome for a memorial service on Saturday October 7th, 2023 at 1:30pm Pittsburgh Cremation and Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Road, McMurray, PA 15317.
