Wallace Nowinowski, age 89 of McMurray, PA passed away surrounded by family on Sunday, March 11, 2018. Born on March 6, 1929, he was the son of the late Julia and Anthony Nowinowski. Beloved husband to Marjorie Nowinowski. Loving father to Anthony (Dee) Nowinowski, Cyndi Skarzenski, Juliann (Kent) Shaffer, Melinda Hindman, and Chris (Noreen) Nowinowski. Dear brother to Helen O’Baggy. Cherished uncle to Jo Ann Kielur. Also survived by 13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Wallace was preceeded in death by his son Bruce Nowinowski and son-in-law Kent Shaffer.

Wallace enjoyed being a part of St. Benedict’s men’s club and golf league. He was dedicated to St. Benedict’s parish and spent much of his free time volunteering there. His other hobbies included woodworking and fishing. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Family and friends are welcome on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8pm at Cremation and Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Road, McMurray, PA 15317, 724-260-5546. A service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, March 15, 2018 at 11am.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Wallace’s name to the Peters Township Public Library, 616 E. McMurray Road, McMurray, PA 15317.

He built such beautiful doll houses and was so helpful making improvements on his and others homes. He will be missed.
