William “Bill” Algeo

William “Bill” Algeo, age 70, of Venetia formerly of Dormont, passed away Saturday, January 20, 2018 after fighting a long courageous battle.

Born on August 20, 1947 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Beatrice and Kenneth Algeo.

Beloved husband of the late Carolyn Algeo.  Loving father to Drew (Jacqueline) Algeo, Danielle (Chris) Cibrone, Dea (Michael) Lynch, and the late Darren Algeo. Cherished fatherly figure to Donald (Lauren) Vierling;  Dear brother to Mary Lou Munizza, Joanne Diulus, Dutchie Lane, Doreen Riley, Jenette Knippling, the late Bernice Shickert, Elenor Brody, and Kenneth Algeo. Adored grandfather to Alex, Christopher, Eva, Annalise, Nina, Kenna, Graeme, and Kamryn; lifelong best friend Frank Geramita; also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Bill was a proud Marine Vietnam veteran.  He also enjoyed boating and spending time with family and friends.  Bill was the rock of the family and a hero to many, he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Family and friends are welcome Tuesday, January 23, 2018 from 4-8 pm and Wednesday, January 24, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Cremation & Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Rd., McMurray, PA 15317, 724-260-5546.  A Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, 25, 2018 at 10 am at St. Benedict the Abbot Church.

So sorry to all the Algeo kids for the loss of your dad. He had a big happy personality and a kind heart. When I met them it was always Billy and Carolyn as if it was one name. I'm sure they are together again. He will be dearly missed by everyone who knew him. I will keep your family in my prayers.
