William E. Cain, age 92, of Taylors, S.C., formerly of Crafton, PA, passed away on Sunday, August 20, 2017. Beloved husband of the late Dorothy M. Cain. Born on October 23, 1924 in Woodruff, W.V., he was the son of the late Ervin and Emma Louise Cain. Loving father of William Jr., Barbara (the late John) Deaver, Ronald (Kathy), Daniel (Sena), Leonard (Nora), Linda (Dan) Bredl, and the late Dorothy Crosby; grandfather of Suzanne (Jeff) DiSanzo, Natalie (David) Klump, Ervin (Sara) Gockley, Marianne (Stevenson) Bellot, Will (Jessica) Gockley, Malinda (Mike) Dublin, Amanda (Zachary) Thawley, Mark (Casey) Bredl, John (Shelley) Bredl, Jon (Livia) Cain, Jackie Cain (Alex) Sulkowski, David (Kristen) Cain, and Stacy (Derek) Chadwell; and great-grandfather of Adam, Meghan, Jacob, Jillian, Lucas, Sophia, and Bella Gockley, Abby, Jeffrey, and James DiSanzo, Maydee, Jeff, and Jacques Bellot, Chloe, Zachary, and Ashley Klump, Twin Boys Chadwell due 8/28, Baby Dublin due 9/15. Preceded in death by his siblings, Richard, Jean Ahearn, and Rosalee Wendt and a great-granddaughter, Emma Gockley.

William was an all around “tinkerer”, repairing small engines. He loved Nascar and “American Pickers” and was a true blue Steelers fan. William was a Mason and a proud WWII Navy Veteran. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Family and Friends are welcome on Saturday, August 26, 2017 from 1:00 – 3:00 and 5:00 – 7:00 at Joseph Somma Funeral Home, 5405 Steubenville Pike, Robinson Twp., PA 15136, (412) 787-1800. A memorial service will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, August 27, 2017 at 10:00AM.
