William R. Franz, age 51, of Cecil, passed away on Saturday, May 20, 2017. Born on April 14, 1966, he was the son of Barbara and the late William Franz. Loving father of Corey and Will Franz; brother of David and Michael (Sue) Franz; also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his brother, Gary, his maternal grandparents, Wyman and Rose Perry, and paternal grandparents, William and Grace Franz.
Bill graduated from Canon-Mac and went on to attend the Police Academy. He enjoyed the outdoors, biking, and camping. Bill loved his dogs. He was a great friend, but above all, he was a great father. Bill always touched everyone’s heart in one way or another. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Family and friends are welcome on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 from 2:00PM to 8:00PM at Cremation & Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Rd. McMurray, PA 15317, (724) 260-5546. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at 10:00AM at St. Benedict the Abbot Church, 120 Abington Dr. McMurray, PA 15317.
