Susan C. Kinkopf Smith

Susan C. Kinkopf Smith, 67, peacefully passed from this world on July 13, 2017. Susan was born May 29, 1950 in Pittsburgh, Pa to the late Charles and Helen Kinkopf. She was the wife of the late David Smith Sr and resided in Claysville, Pa.

Susan is survived by her children David Smith Jr (Lori), Michele Smith Pinto and James T. Smith (Tammy), and her siblings, Claudia Rizor (Joe) and Timothy Kinkopf. Also surviving Susan are 10 grandchildren: Jeremy, Alexandria, Wyatt, Grace, Ella, Jessica, Virginia, Zachary, Ashley and Reed. She also had many nieces and nephews. Susan is preceded in death by her parents, husband and youngest sister, Martha Blair.

Susan lived most of her life in Claysville, Pa. She graduated from McGuffey High School and attended New Castle School of Trade. Her marriage to David Smith, Sr took place at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on August 12, 1972. She was a loving and devoted daughter, sister, wife and mother. Spending time with her grandchildren brought her joy. Susan loved visiting and socializing with her friends and neighbors.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Monday, July 24, 2017 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at Cremation and Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Rd., McMurray, PA 15317. A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at 9:30 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 304 Main St., Claysville, PA 15323. Burial at Claysville cemetery to follow.
