With deep sadness I wish to send sympathies to the Tanner family on Mark's passing. I got to know Mark when he did his book sales at our school. He had an infectious personality and I looked forward to his visits and our talks from families, Pittsburgh sports, Penn State, or just anything that would keep us enjoying the visit. I hope that you can find comfort, just knowing what kind of an individual Mark was and how many lives he touched and made better just knowing him. Our Blessings.

We are deeply saddened by your loss. Your Father will always be remembered for his humor, love for his family, and God. Bill and I are pleased for the time we had with him to enjoy his stories, watching TV with Bill, sharing our families and his friendship. May you all find peace with all his love and memories.

We knew Mark a very short time in the scheme of things. Mark had a great personality and left his memory in our first encounter as our neighbor 3 doors away. He had a wonderful perspective on life and tried to enjoy himself and gave everyone who had contact with him a happy feeling. Our condolences to Mark’s family at your loss.

Dear Karen, Matt, Julie, Lauren and all your family, We are so very sorry about Mark's passing. We have many wonderful memories of your friendship. For me (Chris) .... being able to be part of a Saturdays golf foursome with Mark, Steve Gauly and Jay Straub epitomized it all. It was a supreme joy. I have never laughed more or laughed harder. For me (Charlotte) .... the smile, the almost ever present smile, it lit up the rooms that he was in and made others smile with him. Thank you all for being part of our lives. We will miss Mark. With love ....

So sorry to hear about Mark's passing. We thoroughly enjoyed him visiting our school in Wellsboro with the "Books are Fun" and later "Collective Goods" items. Although I did not know him well, I felt like I did. He was a great person and always smiling! We ill miss him......
