Donald “Don” Scorza

Donald “Don” Scorza, age 84 of Bentleyville, PA passed away on Thursday, February 28, 2019. Born on May 2, 1934, he was the son of the late Pete and Mary Scorza. Beloved husband to Helen Scorza for 64 years. Loving father to Melissa (Robert Keffer) Scorza and Lisa (Mike) Carter. Loving brother to Pete (Trudi) Scorza and Theresa (Boots) Muto. He was also blessed with many nieces, nephews and cousins. Don was preceded in death by his brothers Vincent and Nick Scorza.

Don enjoyed golfing and fishing. He will be dearly missed by all.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at 2 PM at Pittsburgh Cremation and Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Road, McMurray, PA 15317, (724) 260-5546.

Dearest Helen, Lisa, Melissa and family, Uncle Pete and I are so saddened by the passing of his beloved brother. You have always been such a wonderfully tightknit and supportive family. Donald loved you with all his heart And that sentiment was returned in full measure by each of you. He has always been most proud of the wonderful women you are and never stopped telling Pete and I how amazing you are. Helen you are the best of wives taking meticulous care of Donald and his health forever. And you girls have been the light of his lives since you were born. We can’t imagine how much Don will be missed: But we know his only concern would be that you take care of Helen and I know that is not something anyone even need worry about. We love you all. Don, Always enjoyed your great family oriented attitude. I learned a lot from you over the years. So many funny memories and your visits to the golf course were always a delight. Colleen has said on many occasions how you welcomed her and made her feel accepted into the family. We are both very saddened and will miss you. God Bless and Rest In Peace. Gumboots

Dear Helen, Melissa and Lisa, Helen and I and our boys are very saddened with the passing of cousin Don. I had gotten to know him much more the past several years than when we still lived in Pa. I've always enjoyed being at Bonanza with you and him while we joked, and as well as golfing with him when we were back home. I'll never forget one particular golf outing at Carmichaels when, as we aged and approached the uphill 13th hole which many times lately, our drives would roll forever, .....but down the steep hill into, or past the 12th fairway, so we decided to drive up to the Green and throw our tee shot onto it. Don's throw hit the Green alright, but it then rolled off the Green down the hill. Of course we had a great big laugh on that one. And even now as he was obviously getting up there in age, he remained "spunky" with his stories. I'm glad we had kept in touch on the phone to rehash those kinds of moments. I will really miss him, and so will Helen and our boys, Carm, Tony and Rick. Love, Dagy

Dear Helen, When I think of "Donald", I think of "Donald and Helen". The two of you have always been an example of a couple that had a wonderful life together and belonged together. You took care of each other and complimented each other so well. Donald's friendliness will always be remembered and I will miss him on our visits to Brownsville. Helen, you have lots of memories with Donald and so do we. Stay strong and take care of yourself. He loved you a lot.
