I am extremely saddened to learn of Clark's passing. While we had very limited contact over the last years, I recall with a smile the many great times. It started with my first day underground at Enlow in 1991 when I was sent to work with/for him and was literally scared out of my boots. He turned out to be one of the nicest people at the mine and eventually invited me to lift and eat at Curinga's. It was wonderful to meet Sis and become part of the gang. I learned a ton from Clark, especially about mining and restoring old buildings. I loved debating issues with him. Eventually, we were involved in various projects, sort of fell out of favor with each other and lost touch. I had recently been thinking about reaching out to Clark to inquire about his possible interest in a local history group. It is sad to realize that that will not happen but I will focus my thoughts on all the good that he brought to so many.

I worked with Clark at Enlow Mine. It was a pleasure to work with him. He was big guy but gentle with a loving heart. Everyone who worked with him will miss him. May God bless you Sis and your family during this time. We will be praying for you.
