Connie Sue Bowers

Connie Sue Bowers, age 73, of Marianna, passed away peacefully on November 5, 2023, surrounded by her family. Born on October 21, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Alma Cumberledge. Loving partner of the late John Joe Robison. Beloved mother of Charles Bowers, Lonnie Bowers, Clarissa (Scott) Weaver, and the late Sandy (Tom) Ray and Dennis (Emily) Bowers. Sister of Kay Smith, Joetta Thomas, her twin sister Bonnie Young, and Michael Cumberledge. “Gram” to 9 grand-children and 7 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who loved her dearly.

She is preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Edward Bowers Sr., and brothers George Cumberledge, Ray Cumberledge, Charles “Butch” Cumberledge, and Paul Cumberledge.

Connie loved to cook, preserve food from her garden, knit, and took pride in her macaroni salad recipe. She was selfless and cared for everyone around her, especially her family. They describe her as strong willed and full of hope. Connie was a dedicated gram that loved to spoil her dogs. She never spent a day without her twin, Bonnie, who was her other half throughout life.

All services at the family’s request will be private. Arrangements have been entrusted to Pittsburgh Cremation and Funeral Care.
