After an almost 2 year battle with cancer, Donald Aaron Marks, 62, died on February 29, 2024.

Donald, Donnie, Don was born on May 15, 1961 to Albert Marks of Portersville, PA and JoAnn (Scheller-Marks) Foltz of Zelienople, PA. Don was the brother of Denny (Lorraine) Marks, Daniel Marks, David J Marks, and Mary Ann (Mark Rose) Marks.
While in high school he was a volunteer fireman for Franklin Twp., PA. After graduating from Riverside High School in 1979, Don went on to marry Karen Stahl of Franklin Park, PA. They went on to have 4 children Cicelia (Bryan) Maloney, Camala (Kristopher) Erringer, Ethan Marks, and Tessa (Chad) Davis. Don is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Don had a brilliant mind and loved to read. He was also a skilled residential home construction carpenter for all of his life even up until this past year. When you would go for a drive with him he would point out what seemed like every home in western PA that he worked on. He absolutely loved to hunt and fish everywhere and was a member of the Zelienople Sportsman’s Club. He loved just to be outside whether that be around a bonfire or staring at the sky. He enjoyed playing cards with family, he loved to play the guitar, sing, and was amazingly self taught. He loved to tell stories and enjoyed the company of everyone that was around him. You could say that he was always the funniest by far, and everyone enjoyed him just as much. In 2019 Don decided to live out a dream and move to Granby, Colorado. That dream was cut short by his cancer diagnosis in 2022 and he decided to come home and be closer to family. Don had 8 grandchildren to which he absolutely adored and loved to be around Bryson, Tatum, Sylvia, and Sophie Maloney, Emilina, Elliana, and Erilyna Erringer, and Hadley Marks.
In lieu of flowers, Don is requesting your vote for Donald Trump in the 2024 election.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, May 19, 2024 at the Overlook Pavilion at Knob Hill Park, 415 Knob Rd. Wexford, PA 15090, beginning at 1:00 p.m.

Karen and children, Even though I did not know Don personally, it is evident that he was a great man who will be missed by all of his family and friends. What a wonderful legacy he has left with his four children and eight grandchildren. Prayers for all of you as you deal with the grief of losing a wonderful man. Cindy Goldbach

It was a privledge to have Don enter my life. We hit it off on a phone call and from there it went on to a great working relationship. He was a master craftsman , true friend, loved the outdoors and great to talk with. I wish we could have gotten together earlier in our lives. I miss him dearly.
