Frances Anita Pelle

Frances Anita Pelle, age 78 of Centreville, VA, born and raised in Carnegie, PA passed away surrounded by family on Friday, September 7, 2018. Born on February 13, 1940, she was the daughter of Teresa Sorbora Pelle and Bruno Pelle. Dear sister to Anna (the late Joseph) Schirripa, Mickey Pelle, Rosemarie (the late Gino) Trombetta, and Dr. Joseph (Glenda) Pelle and sister-in-law to Joe Capogreco. She was also blessed with many loving nieces and nephews. Frances was preceded in death by her sister Julia Capogreco.

As a young adult, she stepped away from her hometown of Carnegie and built a life for herself that she was proud of in the DC area. Francey was a devoted Catholic who had a loving heart. She gave her all to her godchildren and cherished her friends. Francey enjoyed traveling and hosting people who visited to sight see in Washington DC area.

A Mass of Christian burial will be on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at 10 AM at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, 330 3rd Avenue, Carnegie, PA 15106, (412) 276-1011. Internment will take place at Queen of Heaven Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Cremation and Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Road, McMurray, PA 15317, (724) 260-5546.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Saint Timothy Catholic Church, 13807 Poplar Tree Road, Chanantilly, VA 20151.

Dear Frances, I have always marveled as your older sister how you come up with so many wonderful ideas to have fun. To visit enjoy life by your travel and your stamina that took you from Carnegie to Virginia as a single girl and remain so all these years. You had a huge time u party at my house after you came home from Hawaii and then decided to move to DC area i in the CIA. Took a lot of guts and fortitude to make this move. But the biggest marvel was how you find your way home 25 years at my house for the Christmas holidays and all the rest of the holidays because you love your family so much and especially your godchildren. I remember I asked you to make The Christian retreat Called Cursillo And your Christian life was iInhansed and blessed by your numerous Christian friends. You even invited Frank McMahon a Special friend of yours and a godmother to one of his to make the Beautiful Christian retreat and I sent him a letter prayers and he told me that he carried it in his pocket for years that helped him through his work. You were an instrument of peace and love and joy to many transplanted people in your area who remember you to this day. I held your hand as you were passing on to the Lord And those last difficult breathing moment you had and I’m blessed to have been there with you with Anna to share your passing on. You looked up to me and my eyes and said I want freedom and at that very moment I saw deep breath and something creeping through your stomach and chest and out and as I held your hand I knew that was the spirit taking you home. What a blessing. We had our moments but I know you always trusted me and thought my advice was helpful. Thanks for all the laughter and good times when you hosted us around those beautiful places in Washington DC Virginia and Maryland. Just like your mom and dad came here from Italy and built a beautiful life you did the same thing and built a beautiful life in Virginia and still shared it here in Pennsylvania with your loving family who will miss you say hello to all our family in heaven. And keep on making laughter when the angels get together I love you sister. See you soon on the other side I will keep your soul in prayer every day my life. As I do all my angels in heaven. We are all so very Blessed!!!!gTill we meet again!!!??????
