Gerri Claus, age 76, of Claysville, formerly of Bethel Park, passed away suddenly on June 15, 2023, with family by her side.

Born on September 16, 1946, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Bernice Rosfeld. Gerri had just celebrated a 46th wedding anniversary with her beloved husband Henry Claus. She is the loving sister of Kaye (the late Walter) Balko.

Even though Gerri never had children of her own, she loved her nieces and nephews as if they were her own, Sandy Duke, Heather Buchnowski and Jeff Salava and their children, Madison Duke, James Buchnowski and Tressa Salava.  She also cherished her extended family of nephews and nieces and dear friends.

Her Home was always open to everyone.  Gerri loved to cook and entertain, there was always an abundance of food, drinks, stories and laughter.  She had a generous soul and ran Claysville Community Center with Henry for 5 years.  She was the major organizer for community events including the annual craft show.  She had a passion for crafting and was a talented artist.  After moving from Bethel Park and settling in Claysville, she and Henry made many close friends. Gerri will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Will always remember Gerri and Henry from Bethel Park. They were so kind and nice people. Always good to the kids in the neighborhood. Gerri organized the only block parties our neighborhood had. She will be missed by all. Our condolences to Henry. Lou & Chris Reichenbach

Gerri was a big supporter of Fix 'Ur Cat in Canonsburg, where I volunteer. She created decorative lamps which she donated to our fundraisers for our raffles and silent auctions. She would stop in to visit at the office, always smiling. We will miss her.
