Helen Ann Cipolone, 86 of Washington, PA passed away peacefully, surrounded by her children, on Sunday, April 2, 2023.
Helen was born on June 8, 1936, in Meadowlands, PA. She was the daughter of the late Andrew and Mary Chuey.  Helen was the loving mother of Cathy (Kevin) Harding, the late Marianne (Chris) Hartman, Adriene (Bob) Bruno, and beloved son, Michael Cipolone.  She leaves behind 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She is survived by her brothers Frank (Susanne) Gomez and Robert (Philomena) Chuey. She was preceded in death by her daughter Marianne (Chris) Hartman, brothers, Russell (Priscilla) Chuey and Louis Chuey, and sister Sue (John) Panchura.
Helen was known as “Mum and Mummy” to her children and “Grammy” to theirs.  She dedicated her life to raising her children and always had her son Michael at heart and by her side. Although a very quiet and private person to many, she was fiercely protective of her family, and they were her constant focus.
Helen loved spending time with her family and while at home, she could be found sitting at the kitchen table with a cup of coffee, listening to the news or golf, while chatting on the phone keeping everyone up to date on current events and reporting the weather forecast.
Helen worked at Jefferson College for many years before retiring. However, her favorite time in the workforce were the years in the late 1950’s when she was employed at the Steak House. Her cherished stories have been shared over many years. During her retirement years she enjoyed vacationing with her children and loved traveling abroad while adding to her ‘borrowed’ spoon collection.
Helen is survived by her brothers Frank (Susanne) Gomez and Robert (Philomena) Chuey. Helen is preceded in death by her: Daughter; Marianne (Chris) Hartman. Brothers; Russell (Priscilla) Chuey and Louis Chuey. Sister; Sue (John) Panchura
Arrangements were entrusted to Pittsburgh Cremation & Funeral Care, McMurray, PA. A private memorial service was held on April 10, 2023, at St. Bernard Church, Mount Lebanon, PA. Helen was laid to rest in the mausoleum chapel near her daughter at Forest Lawn Cemetery.

“Those we love remain with us for love itself lives on, and cherished memories never fade because a loved one’s gone away. Those we love can never be more than a thought apart. For as long as there is a memory, they’ll live on in our hearts.” So very sorry for your loss. She was a very special lady. Debbie Temple-Smolka
