James Robert (Jimmy) Orr, 67, of Robinson Township, PA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 24, 2024, at home. Jimmy was born on October 18, 1956, in McKees Rocks, PA. He is the beloved husband of Deb (Stayduhar) Orr; loving father of Maggie (Anton) Larter and Mollie (Chris) Hartman; brother of Brian Orr; and grandfather/”Pops” of Remy and Sloane Hartman.

Jimmy worked for over 30 years as a phlebotomist and lab technician. He volunteered with child literacy programs, Compassion International, and groups that support adults with intellectual disabilities.Jimmy had many passions throughout his lifetime, including playing guitar and singing in multiple bands, hiking and spending time in nature, reading great works of literature, solving logic puzzles and every clue on Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune, cheering on his Pittsburgh Steelers, and most of all, being surrounded by his adoring family.

He loved Jesus, and his faith saw him through everything in his life. Jimmy was always content and found joy in the simplest of things, a lesson he passed on to everyone who knew him.

Friends will be received at Ken Mawr United Presbyterian Church, 1760 Pine Hollow Road, Kennedy Township, on Saturday, March 2, 2024, from 9:30-11:30am, with a memorial service and luncheon immediately following.
