Teresa May Gallagher, age 83, of Robinson Township and formerly of Elliot, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, February 25, 2024. Beloved wife of Joseph “Pat” Gallagher. Born in April 18, 1940 in Pittsburgh, she is the daughter of the late Francis and Wihelmine. Loving mother of Patrick (Tammy) Gallagher, Kathleen (Gary) Marburger, and Michael (Kelly) Gallagher; also survived by 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; sister of Francis, Elizabeth, John, Charles, Joseph, Bernard, Rose, Anna Mae, Albert, Mary Alice, Thomas, Margaret, Betty, Helen, Herbert, Dolores, Ruth, William and Robert; preceded in death by her grandson, Patrick M. Gallagher. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Teresa loved traveling her entire life. When her kids were young, the family would take 3-4 week long vacations in their VW van traveling across the U.S. exploring national parks, beaches, amusement parks and small towns. As her kids grew older, her and Pat would travel to many destinations outside the U.S. and they never missed a Steeler Super Bowl in the 70’s and 80’s.
Family and friends will gather for a visitation on Wednesday, February 28, 2024 from 4:00-7:00pm followed by a 7:00pm Blessing Service at Pittsburgh Cremation and Funeral Care 5405 Steubenville Pike Robinson Township, PA 15136.
Interment in National Cemetery of the Alleghenies on Thursday, February 29, 2024 at 1:30pm. Please meet at the funeral home at 12:45pm to process to the cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Animal Friends, 562 Camp Horne Rd. Pittsburgh, PA 15237.
