John “Tito” Battista DiStefano, age 84 of McKees Rocks, PA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 8, 2020. He was born in Naples, Italy January 21, 1936 and is the son of the late Giuseppe and Giulia DiStefano. Beloved husband of the late Dolores H. DiStefano; brother of the late Aldo “Al” DiStefano; uncle of Theresa Phillips and Ann and Daniel DiStefano; relative to Dominica, Sebastian and Elvira Carlesi – his family in Pofi, Italy; dear friend of Joel Mazur.

John proudly served in the U.S. Army before beginning his career as a registered plumber. He provided many services for his friends and neighbors and completed many difficult jobs for the local municipalities. He truly loved his work and did so until close to his 80th birthday. He was strong in his faith and loved attending Holy Trinity Catholic Church faithfully. But the true love of his life was his wife Dolores.

John’s favorite hobby beyond work was gardening and sharing the fruits of those efforts—sharing immense zucchini, huge ripe tomatoes, and of course pears and apples from his favorite trees. He also treasured time spent sharing stories of his remarkable life with friends on his back porch. He will be missed by many.

Private services were entrusted to Pittsburgh Cremation & Funeral Care, Robinson Township, PA. Entombment will take place at Resurrection Cemetery, Moon Township.

I just happened to look at this website and was sad to see that John DiStefano had passed away. I would like to offer my sincere condolences to his family. John provided his plumbing services to my wife and I at various times at our home in Ingram over the years. He was always very professional and courteous.
