Larence Edgar “Tex” Hart, age 90, of Bethel Park, passed away peacefully on March 11, 2024.
Born on August 31, 1933, in Box Elder, Texas, he was the son of the late Lois Edna Baxley and Jesse Edward Hart; beloved husband of the late Shirley Ann Margaret Schricker Hart; significant other of Lois Abraham; loving father of Lynn (Craig) Mullen, Sheryl (Paul) Guzan, Kimberly (Robert) Criss, and Larence Hart; grandfather of Paul (Denae) Guzan, Nicholas (Emily) Guzan, Brittany (Stephen) Duncan, Tyler (Amanda) Criss, Emily (Benjamin) Melone, William Hart, and Alexandra (Bradley) Gural; great grandfather of 8 great grandchildren; dear brother of Nella Beth Long, the late James, Robert, Weldon, and Donnie Hart; and survived by many nieces and nephews.
Tex was an outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed woodworking, making furniture and crafts for his children and church. Tex was fond of telling stories of his youth. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Family and friends are welcome on Friday, March 15, 2024 from 11 am until the time of service at 1:00 pm at Pittsburgh Cremation & Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Rd., McMurray, PA 15317, 724-260-5546
Graveside service with full military honors will follow at Forest Lawn Gardens to follow.
