Leoda Yoder

On Friday, July 9, 2021, Leoda Fay Yoder, loving mother of her son, passed away fighting cancer at the age 75. Leoda was born on December 14, 1945 in Bulger, PA to Daniel and Danelda (Betty) Yoder).

She served in the U.S. Army. She received a medical discharge for being pregnant with her son in 1965. She was married in 1966 and divorced in 1973. She raised her son as a single parent since then in Montoursville, PA. Leoda gave her heart to the Lord for her salvation on June 9, 2021.

She worked as a quality inspector for GTE, Wesco, and retired from L-3 Electron Devices Aerospace Company. She received numerous certifications throughout her career. Her family was so important to her that she moved back to Pittsburgh to be closer to them after her retirement. Her passions and hobbies were family, cooking, sewing, going for long drives, exploring, outdoors, camping, hiking, volunteering. She volunteered at James V. Brown Library in Williamsport to teach adults how to read for their G.E.D. and volunteered with challenged children while raising her son. She led by example.

She was known for her independence, her drive, her quick wit, her infectious smile, and her kind and compassionate spirit. She has inspired and encouraged others in so different ways to set and achieve goals.

Leoda was preceded in death by her father, Daniel M. Yoder Sr., her mother, Danelda (Betty) Yoder, her sister, Jean Moore, and her brothers Bob Yoder and Daniel M. Yoder jr

She is survived by her son Daniel P. Yoder, her grand-daughter Delana M. Marlet (Yoder) with Delana’s husband Dustin Marlet, her daughter-in-law Genevieve Yoder, her grandson Devin Schuler, and her foster grandson Rickey Cressy, her sisters Ann Liech, Marie Yenchik, her brother Paul Yoder

Memorial Service was informal at Findlay Township. A memorial service was held on Saturday, July 17th, 2021 at 4:00 pm at the Falcon pavilion at Clinton Park, 86 Clinton Park Dive, Clinton PA 15026. No flowers.

Daniel Yoder
The greatest mother and friend. She was always there for me. She always loved me. I miss her. We had lots of adventures,camping & hiking trips, and car & motorcycle road trips.
